Good first half for us until Miami started reacting and put some better opposition in the middle and just started getting more space in there and started moving the ball.” Said Orlando Head Coach Oscar Pareya ” I think the first half [drop off] was pretty much at the end, we had the initiative at the beginning but then Miami started just leveling things. In the second half, they started to be sharper and we started on the opposite side, just leveling in the middle of the half and we started creating some sequences and opportunities that could put the game away. At the end, it’s very dramatic for us because it happens at a moment where we have a great opportunity to unbalance the game and then we conceded that one goal. A good match, another derby and we’ll keep growing. We’ll keep moving, this is the league.”
Orlando goal keeper Pedro Gallese made key blocks throughout the match, including a diving block that prevent a Miami score in the first half.
Lions face a quick turnaround, returning home to Exploria Stadium to take on Atlanta United FC on Wednesday, Oct. 28 with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. ET.
